Placing a quote online is very easy. If you are not quite ready to place an order yet, or you are looking for pricing that still needs your internal company approval, you can create a quote online which will generate a quote reference number you can use as documentation. Pricing on quotes is typically valid for 7 - 14 days, the number of days it is valid for is dependent on from which Macsteel branch you are buying from and the expiry date of your quote will be listed on your quote download, as well as on your quote details online after you have placed your quote.
1. To place a quote, find the products you would like to order by navigating to the product category you are interested in. Here you will see a list of all the products in that category. Once you have identified which items you would like to buy, click on the "+" or "-" button on the product line and click the "Add to Cart" button for the quantity to be added to your cart. You can also type in, in the text box provided how many items you would like to order. Your cart, in the top right of your screen, will update automatically when you add or remove items.
2. Once you have added all the items that you want to your cart, click on the “Cart” icon on the top right of your screen. This will open your shopping cart and display all the products you have added to your cart. You can still add or reduce the quantities in your cart here as well.
3. Once happy with the items listed in your cart, you are ready to place your quote. On the cart screen, select the "Quote" option:
4. Once you have selected “Quote”, you will need to select your delivery method - delivery or collection. Then click the "Confirm" button.
The delivery method chosen will impact your pricing if there is a delivery fee applicable to your order.
5. Once your quote is successully placed, you will see a "Thank you" screen and will see a quote reference number like the below:
